讲解规则
课件第一页 · 建立 WHERE–WHO–WHAT–DETAILS 描述顺序
Hello, everyone! Today, we’re going to learn how to describe a picture clearly.
Sometimes, we can see lots of things, but we don’t know where to start. Here’s a simple plan.
WHERE: Where are the people?
WHO: Who can you see?
WHAT: What are they doing?
And DETAILS: What else do you notice?
Start with the big picture, then add details.
Let’s say the four steps together.
Where, who, what, details.
Good! Which step tells us about the actions?
Exactly! Describe what you can see. If you’re guessing, use expressions like “might be” or “looks like”.
Set the scene.
课件第二页 · WHERE · 描述地点,并指出图片依据
Now, let’s use our plan.
First, where are the people? Are they indoors or outdoors?
Yes, indoors. Which room are they in?
That’s right. Can you give me a full sentence? Start with “They are…”
They are in a kitchen. Good!
What can you see that tells you it’s a kitchen?
Yes, an oven and some cupboards.
We can say:
They are in a kitchen. I can see an oven and some cupboards.
Introduce the people.
课件第二页 · WHO · 描述人物,区分观察与推测
Next, who can you see?
Yes, a woman and a girl.
Let’s make a sentence: “I can see…”
Good. I can see a woman and a girl.
Do you think they’re a mother and daughter?
Maybe! Do we know for sure?
No. So how can we show that we’re guessing?
Exactly!
They might be a mother and daughter.
That’s a useful way to describe a possible relationship.
Describe the actions.
课件第二页 · WHAT · 先描述 holding,再推测 crack the egg
Now, what are they doing?
Look carefully at the girl’s hands. What is she holding?
Yes, an egg. Let’s make a full sentence.
The girl is holding an egg.
What do you think she is going to do with it?
Yes. She looks like she is about to crack the egg into the flour.
“Crack an egg” means to break its shell.
What about the woman? Where is she pointing?
She is pointing towards the ingredients on the worktop. She seems to be helping the girl.
Let’s connect two actions with “while”:
The girl is holding an egg while the woman is helping her.
Can you say that?
Good!
Look more closely.
课件第二页 · DETAILS · 物品、用途与情绪依据
Our final step is details.
Let’s look more closely. What can you see on the worktop?
Yes, some flour, some eggs, a jar, and an iPad.
Can you describe one of those things in a sentence?
Start with “There is” or “There are”.
Good! There is flour on the worktop.
Now, look at the iPad. What might they be using it for?
They might be following a recipe.
Remember, we’re making a guess, so “might be” is useful here.
Now look at their faces. How do they look?
Happy. What makes you think so?
Exactly! Let’s connect those ideas with “because”:
They look happy because they are smiling.
Now choose two details and describe them to me.
Make the sentence stronger.
课件第二页 · 语言升级与练习说明
Let’s improve one sentence.
“The girl is preparing food” is a good start. Can we add a position and a more specific action?
Yes!
On the left, the girl is holding an egg while the woman is helping her.
Now describe the whole picture in your own words.
Use our four steps. You have one minute.
If you get stuck, move to the next step.
Ready?
Your one-minute turn.
课件第二页 · 一分钟独立练习
WHERE → WHO → WHAT → DETAILS
At this point, I would give the learner one full minute to describe the picture independently, while I listen and note one strength and one area to improve.
